2016 Nomination - The Collective - Music PEI - Achievement in Jazz or Classical
This is The Collective's first Music PEI Nomination. The group is comprised of Alan Dowling on drums, Ian Toms on Guitar, Ken Fornetran on Sax, Deryl Gallant on Bass, Mark Parsons on Trumpet, and Sean Ferris on Keys.

2016 Nomination - Glen Strickey Quartet - Music PEI - Achievement in Jazz or Classical
Once again the Winterjazz group, Glen Strickey Quartet, has been nominated for Achievement in Jazz. The group is comprised of Glen Strickey on Sax, Ian Toms on Guitar, Alan Dowling on Drums, and Deryl Gallant on Bass.

2015 - PEI Jazz and Blues Festival: Doug Riley Artist
Named each year in memory of the late jazz keyboard master who chose PEI as his home. Completely honoured.

2015 - Music PEI: Musician of the Year
Just still so honoured to be recognized for playing bass.

2015 - Glen Strickey Quartet - Music PEI: Achievement in Jazz
Had a heck of a year with these guys making some great music. Was happy to see jazz being recognized.

2015 - Brian J Dunn - 3 Nominations for Music PEI: Country Recording of the Year, Male Solo Recording of the Year, New Artist of the Year
A piece of work of which I am incredibly proud. Brian's tunes are catchy and deep.

2004 - Mike Ross' Dennis Lee Project - Nominated for ECMA New Artist of the Year
Mike's Dennis Lee Project has a special place in my heart. This was a worthy nomination. People still need to hear it.

2002 - Jive Kings - Nominated for ECMA Group of the Year
It's 2002...the Jive Kings were all but done...another nomination...we were up against my late teen heroes, Sloan. I was happy to let them have it.

2001 - Jive Kings - ECMA Jazz Artist of the Year
It's 2001...now we have a new fan base..a new CD...a powerhouse Opera singer on the verge of her international explosion, and new suits from Dows mensware...we smelled like confidence..and coffee.

2001 - Jive Kings - Music PEI Jazz Group of the Year
I didn't even know we were nominated. Then I found out we won. Way cool.

2000 - Jive Kings - ECMA Jazz Artist of the Year
It's 2000...we've made some fans on PEI but not many people on the other side of the Ferry knew about us. So we mailed our CD to ever ECMA member ahead of the vote :) It worked.

1995 - Ted Palmer Award
Awarded to the Colonel Gray music student who Most Exemplifies Colonel Grey Music Spirit. I was shocked and honoured to be presented with this award at my highschool graduation. I also received $100 which felt like $100,000 at the time.
