Don Ross
16 Jan 2024Donald James Ross is a Canadian fingerstyle guitarist. He was the first person to win the National Fingerstyle Guitar Championship twice. His album Huron Street reached the top ten on the Billboard New-age chart. I had the privilege of playing with Don during my first season of Winterjazz and I didn't fully appreciate the opportunity. When Don released his solo version of Jaco Pastorius tune Three Views of a Secret I secretly was dying to play it with him. That opportunity presented itself in January 2024 and was able to perform it with Don and the Atlantic String Machine.
